The Wines of Bordeaux

 

This class is deveolped in a way that allows attendees to discover the origins of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, as well as several blending grapes--all indiginous to Bordeaux. The class starts with a lovely example of white Bordeaux and moves into tasting the reds from the Left & Right Banks. We discuss the grapes, the history and what makes this region unique in the context of the wine world. The class is finished by one of the most famous dessert wines in the world, Sauternes. All wines are paired with cheeses that compliment these elegant yet powerful wines.
